National Bird Day is January 5, Prevent Exploitation, Capture of Birds
National Bird Day is January 5, Prevent Exploitation, Capture of Birds
by Silicon Valley REALTOR Michelle Carr Crowe
If you love birds, you may know there are three separate bird days-National Bird Day, Bird Day and International Migratory Bird Day.
January 5 is Bird Day, a day to reflect upon and seek out ways to help prevent the exploitation and capture of birds, especially in the American pet industry.
Most people enjoy bird watching, which is a free activity that can be pursued by all ages and in all environments, including a large city such as San Jose, a Saratoga backyard, a park in Cupertino or a California bird sanctuary.
Bird Day is celebrated on May 4. International Migratory Bird Day is on the second Saturday of May.
