Santa Monica Canine Surfer Dude
 
 
Before we moved to Carlsbad we used to visit our daughter, who was at USC in LA, several times a year, and a popular hangout was the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Lots of shopping, a variety of restaurants, and some terrific people watching incuding the many street performers made it a fun and entertaining place to visit for an afternoon.
 
The tradition of visiting the 3rd Street Promenade continued after we moved to Carlsbad, and when visiting our daughter in LA in 2007 we spied this Chihuahua all dressed up and ready to hang ten at the nearby beach in Santa Monica.
