The Customs House Museum is Clarksville's museum full of history about the area around Clarksville and the Cumberland River. It has many exhibits both temporary and permanent that are perfect for the whole family or any history buff.  
There is so much for families and children with January 14th as Family Free Day called All Aboard. This day has a special emphasis on the model trains. They model trains will run from 10AM to 12PM and 2-3PM. There are activities of all types and a model train scavenger hunt. This sounds like a lot of fun. There are hands on learning experiences for children and a story time.

The Customs House Museum is located in one of the most historic buildings in Clarksville. On the corner of Commerce and South Second Street in downtown Clarksville, it has a very unusual architectural facade and has been registered on the National Historic Registry.
