Jade Trees and a little history by Endre Barath a Los Angeles Realtor
Jade Trees and a little history by Endre Barath a Los Angeles Realtor
Having lived on the East Coast I always loved Jade Trees, these small trees were very expensive, but I did not mind and kept growing them inside my homes. Fast forward to 20+ years ago, when we relocated to Los Angeles, I was amazed how Jade Trees grow on the side of the road, some homes have them almost like fences.
One day we received a small branch from one of Diane’s coworkers, I want to say about fifteen years ago, next thing you know we had to twice re-plant them (check out the two pots).
BTW did you know that Jade Trees are better known as Crassula ovata, commonly known as jade plant, friendship tree, lucky plant, or money tree, is a succulent plant with small pink or white flowers. It is native to South Africa and Mozambique, and is common as a houseplant worldwide.
Now, fast forward again to three years ago, when we bought our house in the back yard next to the neighbor’s fence there was this wildly growing Jade Tree, almost like a fence. Diane wanted to cut it back, trim it and the list goes on ... more
