Cinco de Mayo in Rancho Cucamonga
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor! Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not the celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day. It is recognized as the day in which the Mexican Army defeated France in 1862 in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-American War. But hey, enough with the history lesson.
Class Dismissed
Although Mexico does celebrate this day, it does not compare to the way people living in the United States have come to celebrate Cinco de Mayo year after year with margaritas galore, mariachi performances, parades and you can’t forget the delicious tacos!

Cinco de Mayo in Ranco CucamongaPer the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Special Events page, there will be a community celebration at Old Town Park Saturday, May 6th from 1-6 PM. It will be free to attend with live entertainment and food (for sale), along with a salsa contest! This will definitely be a great Cinco de Mayo in Rancho Cucamonga to celebrate with your family.
