Upcountry Maui gathering place - Mayor Hannibal Tavares Center
The Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani is a great gathering place for community events.  Wedding parties, graduation celebrations, family reunions, or whatever your needs are, this facility can probably accomodate your crowd.  Plenty of parking on 2 levels with shady trees.  Wheelchair access makes it easy to bring everybody.  Planning a get together will 500 people?  Not a problem here.
The main meeting room is huge and comes with a kitchenette, making it perfect for parties and functions serving food.  With an open beam ceiling you get really good acoustics and airflow.  A large balcony overlooks the beautiful views of Kahului Harbor, the central valley and West Maui Mountains.
You'll find the Community Center at 91 Pukalani St. right across from the Pukalani Terrace Shopping Center.  If you have questions call them at (808) 572-8122

aquatic center with adult and keiki pools softball field baseball field soccer field tennis court basketball court playground On the lower level you'll find the upcountry office of the Department of Motor Vehicles which is usually less crowded that the Kahului branch.  Call them at (808) 270-7363
