North Carolina Takes First Place As A Top Competitive State For Third Year
 
North Carolina wins the Prosperity Cup for a third year in a row... in 2015, North Carolina was ranked #1 in what was once called the Top Competitive States Award and in 2016 North Carolina tied with Texas for the #1 position. Now in 2017, North Carolina once again takes top ranking for competitiveness in economic growth by Site Selection Magazine, with Texas falling back to fourth place. This is great news for the state of North Carolina and, of course, for Charlotte, which remains an important and critical financial engine for the state.
 
 
 
Meantime, CEO Magazine has ranked North Carolina as the third best state in the nation in which to do business, while Charlotte came in at #3 on a list of top 10 tech hub cities with lowest cost of living as ranked by career website Paysa.
