Memorial Day observations, honoring those who gave the ultimate...
Over the years, I have written many posts about Memorial Day and Honoring those Soldiers/ Veterans who gave the ultimate Sacrifice for our country: The United States of America
If time permits, please check some of them out, I added the links at the bottom of this post.
My post here is about honoring the American Veterans who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Memorial Day should not be confused with Veterans Day. This is the day of remembering the men and women who died while serving. On the other hand, Veterans Day is to celebrate the men and women who served in the US Military. Many people thank me for my service in the US Army. My standard answer is:” … it was truly an honor to be part of the US Army, that is the least I could do to thank and give back to my country…”
Interestingly, just about everyone flies the US Flag on Memorial Day. Hence, if I may remind everyone, that the flag should be vibrant and not faded, in other words in pristine condition and if you are not going to take in the flag at dusk, then please leave your outdoor light on to shine ... more
