When you are traveling from other areas of the US and you come to visit Fishhawk Lake to look at lake properties with me as your host, my mantra for attire is this:
    
Layer and Peel!
You might be coming from Arizona or California (we get several folks from there) where the temperatures are far and away much warmer and drier than you experience in the coastal range of Oregon, and that is part of what some are seeking—a respite from very hot weather—especially in the southern areas and in summer months. However, what a body is used to becomes very different when enjoying a completely new climate. That’s why layering and peeling as you go through the day is paramount to having an enjoyable adventure looking at properties at or on Fishhawk Lake.
 
Here you will experience a lower temperature by 6-12 degrees from Portland weather. I have been here since 2003 and can say that it definitely has gotten warmer in the summer months, hitting the 90s more frequently than it used to, BUT. We also have winds and rain and sun and rainbows and snow….maybe not all of this in the same day, ... more
