Can a Seller tell us what we can or can't look at when seeing a home?
Picture this, tape lining where you can and can not walk. Plastic rolled out down hall ways, stairs and rooms with a narrow path. Tape on light switches so they can nor can not be turned on or off. Child gates blocking off some rooms with a sign "do not enter". A locked gate in the back yard. More Child gates keeping us off the deck.
 
My first though was much like the buyers who said, "They must really not want to sell." followed by, "What are these sellers thinking?"
 
To catch you up, the seller by using tape and plastic, only wanted buyers to walk on the stated path. Did not allow cabinets or closets to be opened. They were there on our heels for each step. This was a while back and at the end I thanked the seller for their time in showing the home. Always cordial and did not want to be rude although i scratched my head on what we just experienced. 
 
This was listed. They did have a listing agent. This home recently came off the market unsold. It really was not a surprise. What was a surprise is they called me. I was puzzled but before I could ... more
