Things To Do Around Town - Goldfield Ghost Town
Goldfield Ghost Town was initially settled in 1892 and by October 1893 it had an official post office.  The growth to a population of 1,500 was driven by the discovery of high grade gold ore in the area.  Within just five years the vein of gold ore played, out, the miners packed up and left, the post office was discontinued in November 1898, and all that was left was a "ghost town".

"Walk down Main Street, explore the many shops and historic buildings. Tour the historic Mammoth Gold Mine and visit the Goldfield Museum. Pan for gold then take a ride on Arizona’s only narrow gauge train. You’ll also get to witness an old west gun fight performed by the famous Goldfield Gunfighters! Spend a fun filled day, rich in wild west history!"
 
 
If you're interested in getting a real feel for the old west, this is a "must see" attraction.
 
The Saloon boasts a robust menu, featuring a variety of appetizers, hot and cold sandwiches, their signature "Mammoth Burger", steaks, fish and salads.
