WHY LIVE IN SISTER BAY, WISCONSIN?
 
It's a simple question with  a long answer:  why live in Sister Bay, Wisconsin?
 
It began several years ago where these things tend  to begin, with the Village government.  Sister Bay had a long-term plan to buy as much waterfront as it could, opening up the Bay to the general public.
 
Sister Bay made improvements to its public marina, considered the finest in northern Door County.  Sister Bay doubled the size of its public beach.
 
 
But it wasn't all glory and glamour.  Sister Bay had to spend a LOT of time and money on its infrastructure.  Sister Bay revitalized and revamped its public sewer and water system (the only municipality to have both sewer and water north of the City of Sturgeon Bay), as well as revamping its curb, gutter and sidewalk areas.
 
While this was going on, people began to take notice.  New business like Roots Inn and Kitchen, the Wild Tomato (northern branch), the Sister Bay Inn, Boathouse by the Bay and the internationally renowned Funky Cookie Studio joined old favorites like Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant and Boutique (which created its new outdoor space, Stabbur), Husby's, the Sister Bay Bowl and others.
