Picking your own crisp apples. Glowing sunsets over the leaves of Eagle Harbor. Pumpkins in Egg Harbor. Fall Festivals. Autumn weekends are beginning in Door County.
 
 
 
Autumn is traditionally Door County’s busiest season for both tourism and real estate. September through early November is a busy time in northern Door County. As cooler weather arrives, people leave the beach and the Lake and Bay…..kayaks are put away until next season, boats are hauled out of the Sister Bay Marina, and the Sister Bay Beach is perfect for sunsets, but not swimming.
 
As such, people begin to do more shopping, enjoy our festivals, and begin to look seriously at the home they perused over the summer (if they are still available). Alternatively,  Door County home Sellers begin to wait the countdown…anxious to know if their Door County property will sell before the winter season.
 
Autumn is also the time to enjoy the glorious colors of Door County, featured everywhere from Midwest Living to USA Today. Enjoy a leisurely drive to Northport, one of the most fabulous “leaf trails” in the United States. Savor a lovely morning at one of our many Door County Bed & Breakfasts.
