Are you missing out on a HUGE Networking Opportunity?
Anna has made an excellent point..  send the thank you card, or make the call..  it will get to be a habit and you will be so glad that you did. 
 
Networking has been an important part of my business model from my first years in the real estate business.  I was fortunate to have a broker/mentor show me the ropes and get me involved (whether I wanted to or not). He also pretty much made me (or so it seemed at the time) to join committees as well as volunteer to be an ambassador or whatever else they needed. I've belonged to a couple of Chambers and other network groups and have also have created successful network groups. It's no surprise that networking at this point is 'fun' to me. I couldn't say that 30 years ago!  And, sure networking brings in business but what I enjoy the most is meeting  new folks, having meaningful conversations and building long term relationships.
