Stuffed French Toast and a Beach Walk in Carlsbad
 
 
 
It was a gorgeous fall morning, and Cafe Elysa's coconut custard stuffed French Toast was calling my name.  There was nothing at home that appealed to me, and while I was originally going to the French Bakery Cafe for a croissant, my stomach and taste buds won out. Plus I needed that extra energy for the 2 1/2 mile beach walk I planned to take afterwards from the Village almost to the power plant and back.
 
 
I could have opted for yoga on the beach (they were perilously close to the incoming tide, I thought) or beach volleyball, but the walk was just right. The weather was beautiful and the beaches had more seagulls on them in some areas than people.
