When I look back, and by the way, I do it every day of the week on my 38-year career as a real estate professional consultant.
I recall many of my successes in helping some 900 families sell or purchase a home.
Seldom do I recall the failures in between each of the successes.
My biggest mistake or maybe it is my biggest success, is always having my expectations set far too high.
It seems it is easier for me to sell 20 houses than it is for most agents to sell three.
Every week since 1980, I have wondered why that is. I do not think I work harder, I surely do not work more hours.
Maybe it is belief, mindset, or both.
One of my biggest issues, has been living in the present, instead of the future. And thousands of times I have attempted to change this thought process. With little success.
