Who Remembers Gidget?
 
I was showing oceanview properties today in Oceanside and we drove by the California Surf Museum - a fun place to visit if you are in town!
 

In looking over the museum photos I had I found this picture of the Gidget display. Some of you may be old enough to remember Gidget, a novel, a 1959 movie (with Sandra Dee)  and a 1965 - 1966 sitcom (with Sally Field), about a “boy-crazy” teenaged girl and her surfing friends in Malibu, truly an icon of the California surfing culture.  It’s easy to see why this was included in the California Surf Museum historical treasures!
