The City of Atlanta published the dates for 2017 Holiday Solid Waste Collection. Typically, when a Holiday comes, the pick-ups are conducted one day later. However, 
For Thanksgiving Day 2017 --- there is no change.
Solid Waste Collection will occur on Thanksgiving Day 2017.
 
For Christmas Day 2017 --- next-day pick-up will occur.
Solid Waste Collection will NOT occur on Christmas Day 2017.
Since Christmas is on a Monday in 2017, that means:
Monday pick-up will move to Tuesday
Tuesday pick-up will move to Wednesday
Wednesday pick-up will move to Thursday
Thursday pick-up will move to Friday
 
For New Year's Day 2018 --- next-day pick-up will occur.
Solid Waste Collection will NOT occur on New Year's Day 2018.
 
Since New Year's Day is on a Monday in 2018, that means:
Monday pick-up will move to Tuesday
Tuesday pick-up will move to Wednesday
Wednesday pick-up will move to Thursday
Thursday pick-up will move to Friday
