That is NOT how we saw it done on TV
I have a news flash. What you may see on the TV for Real Estate Reality shows may not be real!!! I have a seller who wants to use what he sees on TV, as the playbook for selling his Manchester NH area home.
 
This story starts around Labor Day. Mrs. Seller is ready to list and sell their home. Mr. Seller wants to wait. He has a list of repairs and upgrades he saw on TV that will improve and raise the value of his home he states.
 
 

The first thing I do in any Listing appointment is walk through the home. I make notes of such things out of place or in need of repair. I then sit down with the home owner and discuss not only the value of their home, but what the market is like now and what we may see in the coming months.
 
Value is based on a simple formula looking at what similar home sin the neighborhood, similar in size, condition and style. I add or deduct for extras or upgrades.
