We don't all fit the same mold.  You can't put a square peg in a round hole.  Not everyone can qualify for the usual bank financing type.

That doesn't mean you can't get a mortgage to buy a house.   

I am a Mortgage Broker in Amarillo, TX.  I am licensed to do mortgages anywhere in Texas.  What is unique about me is that I am not limited to what your local bank or lender can offer you.  
I use lenders all over the US that I use to "shop" until I can find a mortgage that will work for you.  Usually people think that will mean a high interest rate or a balance mortgage or have a pre-payment penalty.  Those mortgages are available but most people fit into an entirely acceptable mortgage.
