People Living in Johns Creek Should Sign Up for the Citizens Fire AcademyA fire is one of those events that catches many people totally unprepared. However, the Johns Creek Fire Department is hosting a series of classes to teach citizens more about how the fire department works and how to prevent and fight fires should the need arise. Anyone living in Johns Creek who is interested in learning more about how their fire department works should check out the Citizens Fire Academy. The course begins on February 20th and meets for nine sessions. Classes will be held on February 20th, 27th, March 10th, 13th, 20th, and 31st, April 10th and 21st, and May 1st. Those held on Tuesdays will go from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and those on Saturday will meet from 9 a.m. to noon. Each session will be jam-packed with information and demonstrations.
