When Love Blooms Between a Buyer and Seller
This is the stuff movies are made of...
Years ago I represented a single mom in the sale of her home. Her family had outgrown their existing home and she wanted a larger home for herself and her two growing children.
 
The home was perfect for a single person. The buyer was a single man who had been renting. It wasn't long before we proceeded to closing. There appeared to be a few sparks of a romantic nature between the buyer and seller at the closing, although I didn't think much of it at the time.
 
A few days after closing the buyer contacted me to ask for the sellers phone number. Why? The post office was still delivering mail to the old address and he thought it might be "important". After confirming with my client that it was okay to give him her number, I passed it along.
 
It seemed awkward that the buyer wanted the sellers phone number after closing, but she didn't mind. I checked in a few weeks after the sale, and they were dating. A few months later, they were exclusive. A little while later, wedding bells were ringing!
 
I've told this story before, When Sparks Fly, but because it is Valentines Day, I am sharing it again.
