  Just outside the North end of Winnsboro, SC you can find a small area amid a residential neighborhood known as Fortune Springs Park. A small pond with paved walking trails invite you to stop by and enjoy the quiet, serenity of the outdoors as you soak up some rays along side some of the residents, which typically includes geese, ducks, and of course the turtles that accompany any body of water in the Southeast. Park benches lining the pond allows visitors an opportunity to relax and look on and various pieces of playground equipment is perfect for the little ones.
 
  A full playground with swings is a short stroll up the hill if the equipment housed within the park itself, which is focused more on smaller visitors, is not adventurous enough.
  Picnic tables make a great spot for lunch or a snack and if there happens to be an untimely drizzle during your visit, covered areas ensure that the weather does not have to rain on your parade.
