Ask An Ambassador: How Did You Find Me?
 
How did you find me?
It's a question I like to ask potential buyer and seller clients.
Now sometimes I don't need to ask.  If it's a buyer calling about patio homes, whether it's a patio home blog post or an IDX page, if they're calling about that topic, they usually lead with "I was looking for patio home information and found you EVERYWHERE!".
But otherwise, I don't know for sure where.
Was it a blog post?
A website?
A Pinterest board?
A good word from a past client or friend?
Something else?
Last night I had a listing interview and the answer was.  "Google.  I searched "real estate agents near me" and you and your wife came up!".
For that case, it was most likely a Google My Business entry that got found (tip:  use maps to increase your presence.  Most of your competition WON'T, either because they don't know how or won't make the effort).
Leaving local breadcrumbs is a crucial part of our digital prospecting.
