The Eyes And Ears Of Our Out Of Town Buyers

Technology has made a HUGE difference in how much I can do for our buyers.  Some years back I bought a tablet, and thanks to video streaming, it's possible to have a live walk-through for clients that are hundreds, even thousands of miles away.
While it's not quite the same as being there, it's pretty close.  If we just had smell-o-vision we'd be all set wouldn't we?
It's becoming more and more common for me to work with buyers that I've never physically met.  We talk, text, email, live stream, but we may never meet in person until they're new home owners of a house they've never physically stepped into.  Now if we're fortunate, they've got relatives or close friends locally and they'll accompany me on the showings to add their own commentary.
And sometimes once we find the right home, there's still some contractual business that needs taken care of, and that's another situation where I as their agent becomes their eyes and ears.
A couple of weeks ago I met the builder's superintendent for an orientation walk-through on a finished new construction home in Independence Kentucky (my buyers started their search in Ohio and switched to Northern Kentucky, so I continued to work with them).  ... more
