5 course dinner recreates Titanic last supper
5 course dinner recreates Titanic's last supper

Spokane's beautiful and historic Davenport Hotel created a special menu as a tie-in to the current Titanic exhibit (complete with iceberg)  at Spokane's MAC (Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture). The exhibit and special menu are available through May 20th.

Since the Davenport never fails to serve fabulous food in their Palm Court Grill and the MAC always provides residents and visitors with too-good-to-miss exhibits both venues are delightful.  This special combo sounds like a fun date night experience and a 20 minute walk wearing a good pair of shoes.

The musum experience begins with a boarding pass complete with passenger name, class, age, purpose of trip and passenger facts.  At the conclusion of the tour you learn whether or not you survived that fateful night.
Since the ship went down in the wee hours of the morning, everyone had dined in their class specific dining areas before returning to their rooms.
The Palm Court Grill, situated in the magnificent lobby of the Davenport, offers a recreation of the first-class "last supper" with 5 courses (not the original 10).  And rest assured there is no chance of sinking.

More history plus menus and recipes from 1912 is available in "The Last Dinner on the Titanic" published in 1997 and available ... more
