REACHING OUT TO AR MEMBER WILL HAMM
I have been using Kathy Streib 's challenge this month to reach out to some AR members with whom I feel a connection through their blogs.  I enjoy reading Will Hamm 's blogs and I had recently heard that he has had experience in the restaurant industry.
Will and I had a great conversation this morning and really found lots of common ground.
For starters, we both grew up in eastern Pennsylvania.  He has Pennsylvania Dutch roots and I have Pennsylvania German--really about the same thing.  Will's family owned a restaurant in Allentown Pennsylvania and Will worked in the business.  He got it into his blood and after college started working at the Red Barn Restaurant Chain which was a quick serve chain with 400 stores in its day.  He advanced rapidly to become one of the VP's.  I loved hearing about it and related it to my experience at Briad Restaurant Group which operates TGI Fridays and Wendy's.
Oh yes, something else in common.  Will also worked at Wendy's and met Dave Thomas.  Well there came a time when two many road trips and hours took a toll and that got Will into Real Estate.  He really enjoys the Denver area because there is no ... more
