New Home Marketing for Builders in Idaho
Marketing for a builder is completely different than marketing a resale listing.  It is imperative that a builder / developer understand this to make sure their agent is doing the best possible job for them.
One main difference was covered in one of my Advanced Marketing Classes at Boise State University where we learned to sell the "sizzle" not the "steak".  A resale home is the steak where you can see it, weigh it, check the fat content, see how thick it is, etc.  However, in many cases, in new home construction you have to sell the sizzle.  Close your eyes, you can smell it and imagine what isn't able to be seen?
Experience is critical for a new home sales professional / Realtor.  That isn't just on the job expereince, but additional classes that specialize in New Construction.  For example, Jim Paulson took the Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP) courses from the National Association of Home Builders nearly 20 years ago!  Since then, Jim Paulson also received his Certified New Home Specialist.
