Why Do We Continue to Do This?
Why do we continue to do this? We post flyers and real estate ads with a great deal of information, but we often purposefully exclude price.


Years ago we did it because we hoped our flyers and yard signs would make our phone ring. However, with the advent of Zillow, Trulia and other on-line websites which provide an interested party the same information, PLUS price at the few taps on a keyboard, it seems futile to continue the practice.

For example, recently I have read several “New Listing” notifications here on ActiveRain. There was the usual plethora of information given, but no price! Because their blog ad didn’t provide it, I simply plugged the address into a Google search, and popped up several links to various sites on the internet which provided the desired list price. BUT, along with it, came the names of other agents, via Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, etc. So, in essence because readers had to leave the “Just Listed” blog where a blogger has provided all information needed about the property, they had left the site to go elsewhere to get price, and they lost connection with the agent who listed the property.
