Staging Is Not A Passing Fancy
Without giving it away, let's just say I've been around long enough to know better. I remember the pre-cell phone and PC days. I remember groaning at many of the passing color and decor fads in homes before I had a clue I would end up a professional home stager. I remember a mid 90's house hunt. Every home I saw had maroon this and hunter green that. Now days it's farmhouse meets mid-century meets industrial meets....
Some of these in and out trends are quite nice if they fit the style and function of a room and the overall home. But in the hands of an over enthusiastic decorator most are not. Things like the bar cart, furry furniture and pillows or animal prints on everything from rugs to lamp shades have been around a bit; in then out then in. Color trends another can of worms.

One rule of thumb appropriate for clothing...just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it...also applies to interior decor and color especially if you are staging to sell.
