How Do You Get Involved with the Community You Farm In?
It's one thing to become the neigborhood expert, but it takes a whole other meaning when you care for the well being of the community. Becoming an active participant in the community you farm in gives you more insight than just knowing the market trends. You get to know the people that live within that community. This gives you much stronger insight when recommending areas to live in.
So how do you get involved in your community?
1. Give Back
You can give back by making a charitable donation to a local cause...but sometimes time is much more valuable than money. Volunteer or provide resources to groups involved in something you are passionate about. Do you like animals? Walk a few dogs, help at an adoption event. Do you like hip hop dance? Teach a few classes, help others put together dance shows. It can be anything really, but it also has the added benefit of creating a larger network for yourself.
2. Facebook Groups
It seems like there is a Facebook Group for everything now. It's so easy to find a local discussion group and join in on a discussion. Garage and yard sale groups are always great for finding potential real estate leads. But ... more
