Open House Behavior...It's not Just Children.....Sigh....
We are ever watchful at Open Houses..we are the guardians of our Sellers' homes...their possessions and furnishings.  It goes without saying...or should that children need to stay with their parents at all times...that throwing toys in the air to see if they can hit the chandelier...turning on the water to see if the whirlpool jets work...testing the beds like trampolines.. dumping out the toybox...and testing the garden hose.. .ought to all be "forbidden behavior." Parents should be "parenting" and mindful that they are a guest in someone else's home and need to behave like a guest...not a potentially destructive intruder.  On occasion...parents have needed reminders.
     Worse than that ...we think ....are Agents who one would hope...apparently not always....would know how to behave professionally as they escort their buyers ....as guests thru a home.  Critiquing the home's features loudly and critically ....voicing their own opinions of style and decor..probably not what they would want at THEIR open house.  We display literature...about the house...the neighborhood...the buyng process...whatever we feel appropriate for that property.  Sooooo...do you think we didn't see you taking pictures of it with your phone ?  Geeeee whiz !
