Chester County Real Estate Report for May 2018
If you buyers in Chester County, Pennsylvania thought new listings were going to drop into your lap without much effort on your part, you are WRONG. Looking at the figures for May, it is evident that you need a Realtor like Carolyn Roland, Your Older and Historic Homes Resource looking out for you and letting you know the minute listings come on the market. From this chart, you can see that compared to May of 2017, the number of available homes was down about 16%. Not only that, but mortgage rates are hovering around 4.75% and not likely to come down any time soon.  The only slightly positive spin is that prices for the year to date are down around 2%. And in more bad news for sellers, average days on the market are UP around 35%! Crazy, right?
