City of Lights May 2018 Detached SF Home Sales
The City of Lights otherwise known as Aurora, IL is lagging behind just a bit in home sales for 2018.  As one of the few more affordable cities for homes May, 2018 had 166 closed sales compared to 2017's 178 closed sales.  As many buyers are finding out those "move in ready" homes or those priced "just right" are going quickly or having multiple sales.
 
Year to date there have been 582 closed transactions vs 620 in 2017!  Not a huge gap but hopefully the next few months will make up for it. 
 
Currently there are 194 active listings, with only 1 home listed under $100K!  There are 48 brand new listings - homes on the market for 7 days or less!  Twenty listings have changed their price and only 8 listings have been reactivated after being under contract. A total of 270 available homes for sale!
 
There are 295 homes under contract plus another 38 that are in "pending" status which means they are set to close in the next 30 dayrs or less!  More homes under contract than available to sell!
