Summer is Here - Is Real Estate slowing down?
We are socked in the first heat wave of the year. But is Real Estate staying hot or cooling down as Summer kicks off? Here in the Manchester NH area the spring market arrived late. But soon we were flooded in new spring listings. Buyers were ready and jumped all over the new inventory.
 
We saw a trend that homes priced at market value went under contract pretty quickly. Those over priced are still lingering around. There is talk of the market slowing as July arrives. However as in any year, Spring is a busy time of year for home sale. Summer does slow as the large new inventory that went under contract closes.
 
Summer does see a steady flow of new listings that buyers seek. Buyers with school age children face the pressure to choose a home sooner than later in order to close before school starts again in September.
 
The time to list is now. Buyers are here, ready, willing and able to buy. Those looking to buy, should get pre qualified now and start the process before rates increase again. You have more buying power with a lower rate for sure.
