Free Picnic Dance presented by PEERS, on Saturday, August 4.  Set up a picnic at 10 am, dance at 1 to 4:30.  Bangers and Mash performs Victorian and Edwardian era ballroom dance music and ragtime.  Costumes from 1890 to 1914 admired but not required and period picnic gear welcome. Gather at Lincoln Park at 1450 High Street in Alameda.
 
 
Alameda Walks on Saturday, August 4 to explore Mastick Mansion to Mastick Station.  The group will meet at Littlejohn Park, 1401 Pacific Avenue near the Littlejohn Recreation Building.  Learn about the history of Alameda’s first railroad and the Mastick family that helped the railroad and City develop.  Dennis Evanosky and Eric Kos will lead the walk which will be 1 hours and 15 minutes.
 
The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, August 4, and Tuesday, August 7 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.  All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices.  So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables, and flowers.  The market is on Haight Avenue at Webster Street and is open rain or shine.
