Why this is time to get Sirius about buying a home in August

In August, during the dog days of summer, the ancient Greeks observed the appearance of the star Sirius. The brightest star in the night sky.
Sirius is recorded in the earliest astronomical records..heralded by the hot and dry summer and feared that it caused plants to wilt, men to weaken, and women to become aroused...
Unfortunately, guys, women become aroused by the great real estate deals that are available now.
 
In the greater Charlotte area, the weather is hot and the market is hotter.
This area is on a record track for gains, 8-12% over last year.
Our problem is inventory...INVENTORY.   However, the flood of buyers has slowed as school is getting ready to start.
What does this mean?   You might have a better chance to find the home you want without throwing a contract through the window at midnight....not that you would.
This is a great time to sharpen your agency agreement and get your electronic signature ready for what could be the last stop on the mortgage rate rise train this year. 
It is time to revisit, renew, and re-engage all aspects of the home buying and selling process before the rates rise.
