Jumping Off a 50-Foot Cliff at South Point Hawaii
If you ask Gary Thomas in Key West, he will tell you he has the southernmost point in Florida but that is not true. It is the southernmost point in the continental U.S. but not in the United States. Nope, that honor belongs to the Big Island in Hawaii. Our houseguests, the exclusive buyer's agent Josh Amolsch from the Elizabeth Weintraub Team in Sacramento and his beautiful fiancée Vika drove us to South Point Hawaii yesterday.
The point of that 3-hour roundtrip was to watch Vika jump off a nearly 50-foot high cliff into the ocean. She was determined and motivated to do this. Along the way, I guess it hit Josh that I would write about this. He said if he did not jump, everybody would know and he would appear as a wimp and, as we all know, Josh is no wimp. So leap he did. And we have a great video of it in my personal blog today at this link: Photos and Video of 12 Meter Cliff Jumping at South Point Hawaii.
