Well, Fall is officially here. Plenty of stores are jammed with Halloween stuff, the pumpkin patches are getting ready to open, and it’s just a little over 3 weeks to the Pumpkin Plunge in Carlsbad.
 
This popular annual floating pumpkin patch will be held at the Alga Norte Community Center in South Carlsbad (La Costa), at 6565 Alicante Road (at the corner of Poinsettia), on Saturday October 20th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
 
Carlsbad kids can come lasso their favorite pumpkin from the floating patch, using a hula hoop, to take home for their Halloween festivities.
 
The fun in and out of the pool will include several Halloween-themed activities, including a bounce house, with plenty of photo opportunities.
 
The Pumpkin Plunge ends with a special movie, The Boxtrolls (rated PG), on the giant outdoor screen, starting at dusk.
 
The Dive In Grill will be open, as it always is, to purchase food and beverages throughout the event. Keep in mind food and beverages cannot be brought in from outside.
