Is this War or a Battle? Does anyone win?
Other than Realtors, not many people see what goes on behind the scenes in Real Estate. There was a thought provoking feature blog that wrote about not looking at a real estate transaction as a war. I really enjoyed teh blog and the responses. My however though, was that depending on what side you are on, it can sure look like people are waging war in real estate some days.
Sellers thing buyers are at war when the write a "Low ball" offer in this market. Buyers think sellers are waging war when they refuse to fix their 3 page list of home inspection items. In reality though, this is not war, it is the daily life a Realtor. The key to avoiding either side looking at this as a war, is communication. Simply letting the client, whether a buyer or a seller know what to expect during the buying or selling process. By being there through each one of those steps is my business model.
