In observance of Veterans Day, most City facilities will be closed on Monday, November 12. Recycling will be collected as scheduled. Click here to view open facilities and hours.
 
Observance
Join the City for its annual Veterans Day Observance on Sunday, November 11, honoring and recognizing all U.S. military personnel who play an important role in safeguarding our nation and our future.  The official observance takes place at 1 p.m. at the City Hall Concert Pavilion with remarks by Lieutenant Commander (Ret.) Kenneth B. Wagner. Just prior to the observance, the Community Museum will open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. so visitors can view a special display, "Gaithersburg in World War I." At 11 a.m. there will be a "Bells of Peace" tolling in recognition of the 100-year anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.
