When are Santa Clara County property taxes due?
For many people, including many real estate professionals, the payment schedule for when Santa Clara County property taxes are due is confusing.
The reason it may confuse people is that the fiscal year for the tax calendar starts on July 1st.
 
 
 
I still remember how I learned to remember the property taxes due dates. What the instructor said just stuck with me.
Santa Clara County Property Tax Payments | No Darn Fooling Around
The first installment is due November 1st and delinquent December 10th. This covers July 1st through December 31st. The second installment is due February 1st and delinquent April 10th.This installment covers January 1st through June 30th  
No Darn Fooling Around = November, December, February, April 
 
It’s interesting how the brain makes associations. When it comes to taxes, there is no darn fooling around! We need to pay them. There is no way out.  
Santa Clara County property taxes and other taxes must be paid. This is true even after we pass away and our estate goes through probate or our assets are held in a trust.
