Thankful for failures - Day 6
I'm thankful for the many failures in my life. Without failures, there would not be any success stories. A quote from John Maxwell, "Every successful person is someone who failed, yet never regarded himself as a failure." A few examples that we all know, the artist Vincent Van Gogh, sold only one painting in his lifetime, yet his paintings now set records for the sums they bring at auctions. Thomas Edison, he's noted to be the most prolific inventors in history, yet as a youngster he was considered unteachable. Albert Einstein, the greatest thinker of our time, yet his teacher told his mother that he would never amount to anything. They may have failed a time or two, but they never considered themselves failures.
I truly can look back at the many times I may have failed at something, missed the mark, or made a mistake. I never considered myself a failure, because failing is not an option. You must turn the page and press on. I always thanked the good Lord for the ability and the opportunity to get it right or try again. God is a God of second changes, and we all must keep trying and always moving ... more
