2019 Housing Forecast Creates Uncertainty, Mismatch Clovis, CA. 93619 A couple of months ago the California Association of Realtors put out their 2019 economic forecast.  I wanted to summarize their report here and maybe share how it can have an affect or a 'hit' to our local market in Clovis.  I know that it is hard to take a macro look at real estate statewide or nationwide and then see the same thing in our local city.  Real Estate is very local, down to the neighborhood and street often and the state wide or nationwide phenomena don't always have a direct effect on your specific location.   So not everyone is to read the C.A.R. 2019 housing forecast and take it verbatim as if their home value will reflect exactly how this report forecasts the overall housing prices for the entire state of CA in 2019.  But I thought it was good to consider, especially from a Realtor's perspective so I can envision how 2019 may shake out from a business standpoint. Similarly in how 2018 is transpring with a 3.2% decline in the number of existing single family home sales compared to 2017, 2019 will experience a 3.3% decline on top ... more
