Political correctness is over used while common sense under used
Let me start by saying this is my PERSONAL observation.  Once upon a time I read a comment on Active Rain where a blogger was asking for prayers for a sick family member and one of those drive by cut and past serial commenter said "Thank you for this information, I appreciate that you have shared it" Now I'm likely paraphrasing because it was a few years ago.  But if you blog here much I'm sure you know exactly the kind of cut and past comment I'm talking about.  
Some people think getting 25 points for 20 comments is important here.
Well let me tell you something.  I don't think my "ranking" on ActiveRain has every brought me any business.  
Have I had business from ActiveRain?  You bet I have.  For a few years I kept up with it the best I could, but with business good and busy as opposed to when I started here and it was during the housing crisis and slower it's less important and I just let it go when people say "I found you on the Internet".  Business has come in the way of people finding my posts.
