Mission Ridge Ski Area: Wenatchee, WA

"Skiing is a dance and the mountain always leads."
It's winter in Wenatchee and I thought it might be fun to show you a short video of Mission Ridge, the ski area 13 miles south of town. 
This is where I learned to ski when I was 19 years old.  I took lessons every Saturday the first winter after I moved to Wenatchee. After I met my husband, we had a lot of fun skiing together on these slopes. 
One of the beauties of Mission Ridge is it is so close to Wenatchee.  We were, literally, on the slopes less than 45 minutes from the time we left our house.  Mission Ridge is located in a 2,000 acre basin, with 4 chairlifts and 36 designated runs.  We get a lot of people from the West side of the state coming to Mission Ridge, even though there are two major ski areas much closer to them.  That is because of our dryer climate and the lighter fluffier snow. 
Mission Ridge has a wonderful combination of runs for every skill level and there are plans for some major expansion over the next decade.
