At Least the Eggs Did Not Explode in Microwave
In case you're wondering, I am still camping out at our house in Hawaii in the midst of remodeling hell. We got bogged down because the countertop guys could not get over here in a timely manner. It's also taken them two days to cut and install 3 pieces of plywood.
That surface did give me a good place to test whether my hard-boiled eggs were cooked all the way through. They say if the egg easily spins on a flat surface, it is cooked. Because it's not like I have a stove installed yet. My new microwave is the only working appliance apart from my Keurig.
Although, it did occur to me that I probably should not be rolling cooked eggs around on treated plywood. If the egg shells touched the water I rinsed the eggs in, I could probably die if not become very ill. Such joy.
