Chez Nous ~ "Foodie" Friday 1/4/19
Ahhhh....The hustle & bustle of the holidays is behind us.  Many have made New Years resolutions and one might be enjoying date night with your significant other or maybe getting together with certain friends you haven't had time in the past. How about starting out the new year with a romantic dinner at this iconic French bistro in downtown Austin?  The history on how this place opened is intriguing!

Chez Nous opened since 1982 when three friends came from Paris to Austin and wanted to open a simple and independent French restaurant.  It's been said that eating at Chez Nous is like taking a master class in French dining. The menu is very authentic - owners Sybil Reinhart-Regimbeau, Robert Paprota and Pascal Regimbeau have given Austin part of their native culture.  It's not like dining at a posh French restaurant, but, more like eating at your grandmother's house in France. The food is consistently great, the service is refined and there's lots of Old World ambiance.
 
Start the evening with some hors d'ouevres like the Patè Maison - housemade pâtè selection with cornichons and niçoise olives...or...Chèvre chaud sur canapé - baked goat cheese on baguette with cracked black pepper and extra ... more
