End of December And Still Showing Houses
 
 
 
 
At the beginning of the month, there was a WCR meeting and Tony Thomas was the speaker. One of his suggestions was to get in as many open houses as possible in the month of December.
 
 
Thinking back on that advice... two impromptu open houses, one on Wednesday and the other on Thursday and this is the last week of the year.
Both were for one hour and both brought 3 sets of potential buyers.
As the name impromptu implies, they were not planned. Each one had a scheduled showing so I popped the info in our MLS and was delighted with the turn out at this time of year. 
No, I did not sell either property in the past two days but exposing each to more people cannot hurt.
These were possible future buyers with homes to sell. We all know that more homes sell in the spring...when there are more homes on the market,  more agents working and more buyers out looking.
But don't forget that homes are sold every month, every week and every day. Tony's suggestion for doing opens in December makes a lot of sense. Those looking now will probably ready to buy in the next few months. ... more
