Speechless Sunday - Stay in Your Own Lane!
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right?
We love bird-watching and have several bird feeders for the variety of birds we see each season. However, regardless of the season, we seem to manage to attract the squirrels, often as many of them as birds! We purchased a squirrel-proof feeder a year or two ago and enjoyed watching the resident squirrels attempt, unsuccessfully, to sneak the bird feed, ultimately settling for the fallen pieces on the ground below.
 
 
 
Their antics are hysterical and we really enjoy watching them. So, we read up on how to keep them around but, avoid then getting into the bird feed. Here is our solution - corn cakes and squirrel food in a different area than the bird feeders. So far, so good! Now, we have the best of both worlds - everyone staying in their own lane!
